The Opportunity Our Water business has an opening for an experienced Contract Manager or Business Manager to lead our operations and maintenance teams, build upon our years of strong performance on the contract and maintain our excellent working relationship with the Far North District Council. You This role does not require a background in Water infrastructure. However significant experience of managing maintenance and operations or perhaps an industrial portfolio will equip you for the challenges of managing a programme that includes operations and maintenance of treatment plants, pump stations and water networks. Your track record of building strong working relationships with clients will have prepared you for success in the Alliance environment where we share our office space with client representatives and where success is dependent upon mutually beneficial outcomes. Your collaborative, inclusive approach to leadership will help you to build a strong, engaged working culture within your management group and across your team of roughly 60 people. This team includes mechanical, electrical and civil skill-sets. Your astute understanding of commercial impacts will enable you to identify and capitalise on opportunities for cost reduction and to achieve your financial targets. The Business Broadspectrum is an operations, maintenance and construction services organisation, operating globally in the resources, energy, industrial, infrastructure, rail, property and defence sectors. In working with the FNDC for over 30 years, our water operations and maintenance team in the Far North has been have forged strong and enduring relationships with our client’s representatives. Capability and Experience • Experience at Contract or Business management level. • Excellent relationship management skills with Alliance experience is a preference • Experience in the management of annual budgets between $10m and $15m • A track record of commercial success in a comparable environment • A continuous improvement mentality and the ability to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reduction • Experience in maintenance management from the Water industry or from Industrial facilities We acknowledge the importance of our people’s diverse experiences, talents and cultures that they bring to work with them each day.
