Job role
Retail Risk and Compliance / Retail Business (13 Month FT Contract)
Experience in AML/CFT and financial crime compliance activities

About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Retail banking compliance team and demonstrate your excellent stakeholder engagement skills and AML/CFT subject matter expertise. A key function of this role will be dealing with the centralised financial crime operations team and responsibility for approvals from senior management.
Working in the Retail compliance team, you'll also play a key part in ensuring AM/CFT and financial crime compliance across the Retail division including understanding and implementation of policies, standards and legal regulatory requirements.
About You
Your knowledge of applicable legislation including but not limited to AML/CFT Act, financial crime obligations and Foreign Tax obligations and your experience in development, implementation, review and monitoring of compliance obligations and policies will be invaluable to this role.
You will have the confidence to independently challenge and constructively work together with your stakeholders and the wider risk and compliance focused teams. Your ability to not take things at face value, but instead ask questions of the business and challenge responses to gain in-depth understanding of issues will be instrumental to your success in this role.
5+ years compliance experience or 5+ years banking experience in similar environment.
Experience in a Compliance and/or a Risk related role with knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment relating to financial services.
Technical expertise of identifying, monitoring and reporting of applicable compliance obligations, including money laundering and terrorist financing activity and understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts.
