About Epsom Lodge Supportive Accommodation
Epsom Lodge is an 84 bed Supportive Accommodation residential facility in Auckland for men and women. Our clients have transitional housing needs often (but not always) accompanied by addiction, mental health and relationship issues. We provide 12 or more week's emergency accommodation and support to find suitable long-term accommodation and begin the journey of addressing other life goals.
About the role
The purpose of this position is to maintain a clean and tidy residential facility, meeting Health and Disability standards and supporting excellent infection control procedures. You will report to the House Manager and work with the team of staff and clients.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
cleaning public areas and individual rooms of the Lodge
training clients in aspects of housekeeping and cleaning
making beds, doing laundry and other housekeeping tasks.
You will value our clients by providing them with clean and healthy facilities, support our casework and support staff by treating clients respectfully and training them for a more independent life.
Person specification:
Someone who loves cleaning
A person with a heart for others
A person with a strong commitment to the kaupapa of The Salvation Army, Te Ope Whakaora (The Army that brings life)
Excellent physical fitness is required
