This role sits within our DDX. The DDX is our national Data and Delivery Excellence Centre for compliance work. The DDX involves standardised technology and processes; standardised risk, on-boarding, billing and quoting; and exploring data analytics and new technology.
By having a unified, standardised centre, we will be able to increase capacity and deliver more results to our clients. The DDX team will be experts in their fields, working to improve the value and impact of compliance work – keeping us relevant and ahead of the game.
Be Interested:
This role sits within one of several DDX teams delivering accurate and timely tax compliance services of varying levels of complexity to the business. This will involve utilising new fit for purpose technology and processes to deliver these services to individual tax clients.
This Senior Consultant role provides the opportunity to have a hand in improving all technical compliance processes within DDX, as the centre has a continuous improvement mind set. It will also involve sharing technical knowledge and expertise with less experienced team members, and playing a part in building a high performing team, with a culture of excellence.
Be Exceptional:
Deliver quality technical compliance work, and support the development of others within the team in the delivery of this work
Continue development of capability to deliver technical compliance work of increasing complexity
Contribute to the high performance of the team by suggesting innovations (technical & process) to enhance the delivery & value of technical compliance work
Develop and apply an understanding of legislation, the interpretation of case law and be up to date with the status of IRD rulings relevant to the preparation of individual tax returns.
Demonstrate familiarity with the tax lodgement programme and tax payment requirements, including provisional tax obligations.
Use compliance procedures, in an effective manner, to identify tax planning issues,
Knowledge of relevant non-tax financial and business information
