E.solutions GmbH was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between Audi Electronics Venture GmbH and Elektrobit Automotive GmbH with the aim of bundling and further developing competencies in the infotainment area. Since the beginning of 2020, e.solutions has migrated to Volkswagen AG as a subsidiary in an effort to further strengthen software expertise in the Volkswagen Group. Our shareholding relationship with Elektrobit Automotive GmbH remains unaffected and Elektrobit continues to hold 51% of the shares. The remaining 49% are held by Car.Software Org Wolfsburg AG, a 100% subsidiary of Volkswagen AG. With our infotainment systems, we are expanding Audi's lead position in the premium segment and that of the entire VW Group. With a team of more than 890 international employees at two locations, e.solutions develops highly complex infotainment systems for Audi, Porsche, Bentley and the other brands of the VW Group. The company's solutions are based on pioneering software in currently around a thousand variants. From central infotainment control units to instrument clusters - our infotainment systems inspire drivers worldwide. We design framework, applications and graphical user interfaces and combine these with modules from global suppliers. e.solutions stands for the broadest connectivity, future-oriented online functions, a unique multimedia experience as well as attractive and ergonomic operating interfaces and thus for much more than just navigation.
