J-Star Boat Services

J-Star Boat Services is a family run company founded in 1981 by Simon and his parents. The business was initially a yacht delivery service and RYA sea school until Simon completed his six year boat building apprenticeship. Simon then worked for Hardy Marine and Fox's Marina Ltd to extend his boat building knowledge and skills before devoting these skills full time to the company. The business now in its 36th year and is now run by Simon the company's master boat builder. The business is not restricted to the UK the company also completes work in Europe. Simon believes that attention to detail in all aspects, is the best way to keep his clients happy & return to have more work done on their boats year after year which many have over the past 36 years. The main boat builder and his apprentices within the company use traditional tools in their work, however, they also use a mixture of traditional & modern methods during the restoration work, so their clients get the best of both worlds. As a boat owner of many types of vessel over many years, Simon has a understanding of the needs of his clients and bring this knowledge to bare on the work he and his apprentices undertake for their clients.
