Our carrier - the BifiZ gGmbH The BifiZ gGmbH is a recognized non-profit GmbH, recognized as an independent organization of youth welfare and also a member of DaKs (Dachverband Berliner Kinder- und Schülerläden eV) Our BifiZ gGmbH has been operating in the heart of the Märkisches Viertel since 2005 . This location was by no means chosen by chance. The association and its members did not want to be a silent observer of the rapid development of the Märkisches Viertel, but rather to contribute to its positive development as an active participant . The primary task of our association is to impart knowledge, upbringing and promoting children in preschool, primary school and adolescence. The “Kalinka” kindergarten was opened in November 2006 with the aim of offering pre-school children improved education and care, especially with regard to language skills . It is our educational goal to make it easier for all children in this kindergarten, especially those from families not of German origin, to start school. It should be ensured that the children can follow the lessons in at least two languages ​​from the start. This targeted language training supports the personality development of every child. Awareness of one's own abilities strengthens self-confidence and enables it to cope better with everyday school life later, also because the child has already acquired the skills and abilities that are absolutely necessary for school in preschool age .Migration and globalization have made our society multilingual, and the school has to accept this challenge, shape it and prepare its students as future performers for it. Not least because of the multicultural student structure , the school is a teaching platform for the international contexts to which the guidelines of a multilingual and multicultural school like ours must be oriented. Basis of our teaching The concept of the elementary school is based on the results of research on multilingualism and on the findings in intercultural pedagogy. The basis for the acquisition of high cognitive and social skills is a favorable atmosphere. The teachers and educators at our school aim to create this atmosphere, not only during lessons, but also during the non-lesson hours. Languages ​​and other talents Learning foreign languages ​​from the 1st grade gives students the opportunity to expand their linguistic knowledge and develop their intellect more strongly. This possibility is the basis for the acquisition of deeper language skills in secondary schools, e.g. B. a high school. Teachers are encouraged to design lessons in such a way that students become more interested in learning, develop their skills , and highlight their talents . They should also teach the child to use their time appropriately. We offer two options for teaching English and Russian : a) German-English (students without previous knowledge of Russian) b) German-English-Russian (students with previous knowledge and / or wish to learn Russian). In order to be able to impart sound knowledge of the English language, we prepare the children in both language groups (German-English and German-Russian-English) in the first two school years for other subjects to be held in English. For the “German-Russian-English group”, the aim is to master the Russian language at the mother tongue level, as experience has shown that most of the pupils' families with Russian as their native language also speak Russian. Understanding of different subject areas In addition to language lessons and the acquisition of basic techniques such as reading, writing, and oral expression in German, English and Russian, we attach great importance to imparting general knowledge, the basics of ethics and natural sciences . But artistic and musical exercise and education should also have a permanent place in weekly lessons. Also well looked after after class Lessons last on average until 1:30 p.m., and longer in higher classes depending on the timetable. After that, the students who stay in the after- school care center have the opportunity to do their homework or to take part in working groups . The specialty of our school is the bilingualism . The consistent implementation of bilingualism and the resulting internationality give our school a special character. Live a special experience From the end of the 4th grade, students have the opportunity to visit a country whose language they are learning (Russia and England). Language trips are a fantastic experience for our students at any time.
