Description
This is my little whanau - Myself, Craig, Emily and Annabel squished in the middle.
I am the proud mother to two adorable girls and married to my incredible Husband. He makes me laugh, unconditionally supports me and helps me see the positive every day. I would not be where I am today without him.
Visual arts runs in my family - My Great Grandfather was a Photographer and my Grandfather a Graphic Designer.
I’ve been photographing weddings and portraits for over seven years, and life events for even longer.
I love doing what I do. It’s a privilege. Who doesn’t love a wedding? It’s an emotionally driven day, filled with laughter and tears. Family are very important to me, so what better job than photographing the union of two families, and the special moments it brings.
For me, photographs capture the experiences in our lives that our brains don’t quite have the power to. Our brains are brilliant at archiving emotions and feelings, but not so good with images and facts. We concrete our memories with old photographs. We believe we’ve remembered things from years ago, only to discover the memory has been influenced by a photo we’ve seen.
Weddings are no different, as memories come flooding back - people who have flown home to other countries, even close family who have moved on from this world, are kept in photographic memories forever.
This is why do what I do.
