Description
Surrounded by dogs from a young age, Carolyn grew up with Boxers and Cocker Spaniels, and Monique’s family bred and showed the elegant, yet clownish Afghan Hound.
Our career in the animal industry began in 2003 when we studied for a Certificate in Animal care at UNITEC. This was closely followed by the Certificate in Animal Management specialising in Canine Behaviour and Training.
After graduating we started a successful dog walking and mobile training business which developed into Club K9, a centre which provided group classes, one on one behavioural training and canine hydrotherapy.
With a combined experience of over 30 years, we have worked in the dog daycare environment for the past 8 years, the last 5 years spent honing our skills in a large central Auckland based daycare.
We believe in the “whole dog” approach and it’s important to us that all aspects of your dog’s wellbeing are taken into consideration while they are with us at Happy Hounds. By providing a day of enrichment, exercise and plenty of opportunity to just hang out we are ensuring that your dog’s physical, mental and emotional needs are being fulfilled.
